September meeting

In accordance with the tradition, the first meeting of the Regina Philatelic Club for the new ‘stamp’ year 2026-2027 took place on Wednesday, Sept. 2nd, 2026. Close to two dozen members attended the meeting in person, but no one took advantage of the opportunity to dial in to attend via the ZOOM link.

President Ian Y. outlined the agenda for the upcoming year. He also presented the diplomas from the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada to the two deserving volunteers Mike C. and David M.

As part of the business section of the meeting, the minutes of the annual meeting were read by secretary Al G. Then Treasurer Glen D. took time from collecting the membership dues and verbally presented the financial report for the 11 months ended on July 31, 2026. Both reports were unanimously approved.

Mark S. was the acting auctioneer and several modestly priced lots changed hands. The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m. and members enjoyed one of the few remaining drives home without enduring the driving without daylight.
