February meeting.

Close to 20 members if the Regina Philatelic Club attended the meeting on February 5th. After a generous amount of time to socialize, the meeting started at 8 p.m. with reports by club secretary Al and treasurer Julius. President Ian Y. then reviewed the preparations for the upcoming Stamp Show. All seems to be under control, dealers are confirmed and volunteer lists are full.

The following segment, Stamps and the letter “V”, had several presenters on subjects as wide as the philatelic material can provide. The most extensive and interesting was the binder full of material about the Vimy Ridge celebrations, etc. Jules Verne was the topic of two presentations. There was one presentation on a little-known animal named vicuna.

Most of the items brought for the auction sold, some even at prices reaching well into the double digits. And then it was time to end the meeting with a reminder to remember the Stamp Show.
